1. How do I get to CAM?
CAM is located in the Grand Center arts and entertainment district, in the center of St. Louis. Grand Center is home to dozens of arts organizations, museums, galleries, theaters and concert halls. We share our courtyard with the The Pulitzer Foundation for the Arts, and are just down the street from Fox Theater and The Sheldon Concert Hall. Get directions here.
2. What are the museum’s hours?
CAM is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm, open until 8:00 pm on Thursday, and is open on Sunday from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm. CAM is closed on Monday.
3. Where do I park when I come to CAM?
Free parking is available on the street along Washington Boulevard and Spring Avenue. Visitors may also take advantage of numerous parking lots in the Grand Center district.
4. What is the admission charge?
Admission is $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for seniors. Members, students (with valid ID), and children are free every day. Admission is free to all on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
5. Are tours available?
Yes, CAM provides staff-led tours for schools and community groups during our general hours of operation. If you would like to schedule a group tour, please contact David Hartwell or call 314-535-0770 x212, a minimum of three weeks in advance of the desired tour date. Also check our calendar for special curator-led tours of the exhibitions.
1. Does the museum have a gift shop?
Yes. CAM’s gift shop, is open Tuesday through Sunday during regular Museum hours. We offer copies of books and artist editions produced by CAM, as well as a variety of CAM logo merchandise. Click here to shop online.
2. Does the museum have a café?
Yes. We serve coffee, tea, cold beverages, and local snacks, including Billy Goat Chips, Kakao Chocolate, and Grandma’s Nuts.
3. Do you have wheelchair access? Are wheelchairs available in the museum?
Yes, CAM is fully wheelchair accessible. A complimentary wheelchair is available at the front desk on a first-come, first-served basis.
4. May I take photographs in the museum?
Photography is not permitted in the galleries. Anyone with a camera will be asked to check it or return it to their vehicle before entering the exhibitions. For press related photography, please consult the front desk for a photography use form.
5. I would like to take notes on the work, is this permitted?
Yes it is, but notes must be taken in pencil. Pens or markers are not permitted in the galleries.
1. Do you have a permanent collection?
CAM is a non-collecting museum. The exhibitions in the Main Galleries change three times a year. The exhibitions in The Front Room change every few weeks.
