2011 Auction Bidding Procedures and Conditions of Sale

In-Person Bids:

Silent Auction: Bidding will take place at the Arts Desire event on Saturday, May 7^th.

Live Auction: Bidding will take place at the Viva la Masters Gala event on Friday, May 13^th.

Absentee / Proxy bids:

You may place a proxy bid on items offered in the Silent and Live auctions by registering your maximum bid with CAM. You may register your proxy bid in one of the following ways:

In person at CAM.
Registering a bid at www.camstl.org/auction.
Faxing a completed bid form to 314-535-1226.
Calling Emily DeCenso at 314-535-0770 x217.
Email Emily DeCenso at edecenso@camstl.org.

Silent auction proxy bids are due by 10:00 am on Friday, May 6, 2011. Live auction proxy bids are due by 10:00 am Thursday, May 12th.

Silent Auction

The Silent Auction will take place at the Arts Desire / Night of Mysteries on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis. Abandon your inhibitions at this carnal evening of mysteries held within CAM’s galleries. Enjoy savory Spanish tapas, sangria, and mysterious live performances as you bid on amazing art and creative experiences in the silent auction.

Live Auction

The Live Auction will take place at the Viva la Masters Gala on Friday, May 13, 2011 at the Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis. Celebrate CAM’s accomplishments and contributions to the community at the annual black-tie gala. This year, we honor three contemporary “masters” who demonstrate CAM’s values of innovation, creativity, and risk-taking, followed by another unforgettable live art auction.

Silent Experience Auction

New to the auction this year are interactive art-related experiences. These experiences invite you out into the city for exclusive, hands-on, informative, energetic, and extraordinary art experiences. The bidding items will go to the highest bidder. Absentee bids may be placed on all silent auction items by registering your maximum bid with CAM.

Sign-Up Parties

Enjoy great parties and events with CAM’s new “Sign-Up” parties! Sign-Up parties offer you the chance to enjoy these one-of-a-king experiences at a fraction of the normal bidding price. Think of it as purchasing a ticket to an event. The dates have been set in advance for these parties, as have maximum capacities. Simply sign your name on the line to reserve your spot! All sign-ups are considered binding and require payment for each “ticket” by the end of the evening on May 7, 2011.
